Disappearing

Yesterday, I went to a park honoring all of the people who disappeared —  Parque de Memoria. The military people who were in charge of Argentina in the 1970s did not like all these people so they just disappeared. And, they have a big wall with the name and age of the people that disappeared. There were really cool sculptures at this park. My brother and I climbed inside one of them.  We had a lot of fun.  We also listened to a Sting song (They Dance Alone) which talks about the mothers of the husbands, sons and grandsons who disappeared in Argentina. These mothers marched outside the Casa Rosada every Thursday at 3:30pm in protest. The mothers want to make sure we never forget.
